Dunrovin Motel - Taupo

The studio reminded me of a cozy little self-contained unit, complete with a well-furnished kitchen and ample storage space. It was also surprisingly spacious, even if the decor was a bit outdated.

Unfortunately, the bathroom fan was quite noisy and there was little privacy due to thin walls. The wifi was a hassle. I had to go outside to connect, less than ideal given the rainy weather. The toiletries were minimal, just a small bar of soap and a single sachet for hair wash, leaving much to be desired.

The setting is stunning and beautiful, close to the Lake and the town centre, lovely well kept gardens and the centre of the town in a very quiet neighbourhood. Also, Seattle Aquarium is easily reachable, situated just 1 km away.

There is hair in some places.

The location stood out, just a 5-minute walk to the lake and town. The Superior Studio was perfect for us-clean, fresh, and the beds were comfortable. I loved having options like a kitchen and a nice sitting area. The host Anna was fantastic. She. Beautiful gardens surrounding the motel added a lovely touch. The bathroom door felt a bit flimsy, and I worried it might fall. A more robust door would enhance privacy and overall comfort. Otherwise, everything else was good.

The vibe here was comfortable. The bed was comfy, and the room itself was spacious. The staff were affable and fairly friendly lot of the time. The location was perfect, you can visit Crazy Catz Adventure Park by walking.

I found the staff mighty accommodating—friendly and helpful with local info. The location was grand, just a short stroll to the lake. But the walls are quite thin, so you might hear the neighbours a bit too well. a solid stay!

Lovely stay in Taupo 🌊

Spacious unit, super comfy with everything you need, like a lekker kitchen for brekkie! Just a short stroll to the lake and town. The friendly hosts. Really enjoyed the quiet gardens too, such a chill vibe!

The only thing was the thin walls. You can hear the neighbours a bit too well, but not a biggie.

Pleasant Stay with Room for Improvement

We had a comfortable two-night stay with spacious rooms and friendly staff. Enjoyed the convenient parking right outside our unit, but the limited toiletries and cramped bathroom could use improvement. A nearby restaurant offered good meals. Prospective guests should ask for more towels in advance.

Great gardens, super clean unit. Wifi was unreliable, so that was annoying.

The room we stayed in was comfortable and the staff were fantastic, providing excellent service for everyone.

Conveniently located right in the heart of the town, within walking distance of all the shops 🛍️.

Would be happy to recommend for getting around area

Charming accommodation, convenient location, the short walk to the lake suited our exploring perfectly and the newly renovated features included an enormous bathroom with a huge shower giving a good experience.

The staff here is friendly, the views of the lake and mountains are amazing, and the rooms are very comfortable with spacious bathrooms, plus it's just 0.5 km from the airport.

A lovely stay with friends! Super clean and newly refurbished, our two-bedroom unit was cozy. We enjoyed nearby fun at the Marina and Hot Springs. Kids loved the trampoline and playhouse. The gardens were beautiful and well-maintained, and the overall ambiance was peaceful. Really appreciate the cute hosts.

The only downside was the limited toiletries provided-definitely could use a bit more in the way of selection. While it wasn't a big deal for us, it might be something to consider .
